Sangeeta, an Ayurveda practitioner and owner/author of Sangeeta Ayurveda, has a background of Mathematics, English Literature and Applied Economics. In earlier years she worked in very high profile multinational companies in various top management positions. In spite of her background, she has preferred to choose her own way of attaining knowledge. To her, what was better than studying and gaining knowledge of Ayurveda?
She believes that ‘degrees on paper’ is an aspect that is required only to pave the path of career at a certain point of life. The other aspect that she believes in and has faith in is ‘deep knowledge and experience’; whether or not you have a degree is immaterial. She stresses the fact that attaining knowledge and experience in real life is far better than restricted bookish knowledge. She does not give much value to degrees as they hold no meaning after a certain stage of life. Instead she gives value to knowledge and experience; as she feels that these can come handy at any point of life, and stay with a person the rest of their life.
Anyway, as I was saying, she gave up her established business career 15 years ago and became totally involved in learning all aspects of Ayurveda. Since then, she has been practicing this ‘science of life’, this ‘philosophy of living’, putting her heart and soul in it. To her, Ayurveda was a hobby that turned out to be a knowledgeable and a real learning experience. [...]
